A friend of mine has pins on his spine and neck and is in pain daily and keeps going just like you. I admire people who can do that as I don't think I could
Another fellow sufferer from low back pain.. I had a laminectomy in 2020 but I honestly cannot say that it helped. What did help, about 80% of the time was having a spinal specialist who seemed to know what was going on and where and was able to guide my favorite anaesthesiologist to exactly where the steroid injection needed to go. The other interesting side effect of weight loss, from dieting, was I would often have my back “go out” as I got slimmer. I sort of picture my spine muscles having to be making almost constant adjustments.
Getting old is not for the faint of heart, as they (we?)say……
Oh, Erica, I feel ya. Had the back surgery -- two surgeons, 10 hours, unimaginable pain -- and am as bad as before, although I no longer limp (so am not getting crooked). I've been swimming, and though I'm getting stronger, I can barely get to the bathroom. I apologize for not having better news. Let's face it, we shoulda been quadrupeds. Susan
I'm so sorry that you're suffering, Erica. My best to you.
Getting older sucks, Erica--hang in there!

I truly understand and sympathize with your pain. Misery loves company. Thank you for your posts.

Read the book "Crooked" by a New York Times science writer. Very informative.
