This is so honest. The thing about us all wanting, as we do, to belong, is that we then exclude people - which makes belonging a thing. If everyone were included, what would the meaning of belonging be? I'm impressed that you were able to be part of that group as long as you did, and so glad that you got a real friend from it.

I’ve been there, in and out of the in-crowd, and only recently realized I’ve saved a lot of wear and tear on my kidneys being out.

I don’t know if we ever really change, but we should learn to value our own self image more and care less what others think..,recognizing that list people are simply interested in filling their own needs.

This a lesson about the consequences of gossiping. If you realized that Charlie was insecure about his reality talking about it was a sure fire way of upsetting him. If you want to be part of the group you can’t gossip about people.
