At 74 and having survived three rounds of cancer starting at 38, with other chronic conditions I’m indescribably grateful to be reasonably functional. My batwinged arms with creepy skin can still hold my weight in a plank, albeit not for long. Half sleeves and forgiving tunic tops that cover, not graze the tookus are my friends.I’ve been receiving catalogs and finding ads on my social media feeds for companies that specialize in this type of fashion along with ads for retirement communities. It’s so fun to read this as opposed to worrying about my health, climate change, etc.
at 81 I'm finally over worrying about my "batwings". Yes, I do prefer a little sleeve to sleeveless but I don't worry over it. It is, what it is. I've not had not plastic surgery (nor do I intend to), but I do color my hair - not ready to see me white and grey - - prefer the blond I've become.
The Batwing dilemma—to bare or not to bare
You are my heroine. Keep up the snarkiness.
Amen Sistah.
My clothing is a public service. If it ever happens to be stylish, it's an accidental bonus.
Guilty as charged.
