I can't tell you how many people I've connected with that way; I belong to several wine groups, a group of alumni from my high school, a group from my grade school, another from my middle school, a group for people who want to travel solo, some writers' groups, a couple of neighborhood groups and a long list of sell-your-stuff groups.
